My love for photography started when I was young. After years of shooting landscapes, events, and products, I grew to love wedding photography as it encompasses all these things. I deepened my understanding of the wedding industry after shadowing several photographers. I love interacting with couples and making them feel at ease. I lived in Hong Kong for many years before settling in Canada. One of my superpowers is language – I speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English fluently. Did you know that I’ve also been a teacher for many years? I have the same approach when it comes to teaching and photography. The key is to know your students before teaching, as it will greatly inform the approach you take; this also applies to photography. I believe in highlighting the values and strengths of each couple. I have a way of making magical moments happen!

I’m a nostalgic girl who enjoys photographing moments and lifestyle portraits. People would describe me as a calm, analytical, and detailed-oriented person. Being able to shoot with my best friend and husband in mpStudio is icing on the cake! I have loved shooting with him as we’ve traveled the world. In addition to travel photography, I have also shot weddings in many places – in the mountains, on a cruise, and right here at home. In my spare time, I love to bake, look at flyers, and visit show homes when I’m not editing. Although if I really could, I’d be traveling across the world watching sunsets from every angle.

Overseas & Travel
We are based in Edmonton but have had experience shooting overseas and across Canada. We only ask for reimbursements and no extra fees are added if the location where we work exceed the 100 km radius of Edmonton.

What is the meaning behind mpStudio
Have you read the children book The Missing Piece by Shel Silverstein? That’s where the name Missing Piece Studio Media was made. It’s a story about a character (a shape) who sets off on an adventure in searching of “its other half”. On the way, the shape learns a thing or two about belonging, love, self-discovery, and team work! That’s what I think mpStudio and our customers’ love story are like.
Consultation
Consultation covers understanding your vision, planning, bouncing ideas off each other. Customizing a plan that’s just for you. We may create a timeline, a checklist, follow up emails, and getting ideas onto the drawing board!
Pre-shoot
It may look like a form of an engagement session, or a storyboard of photo ideas, wardrobe, props, and shooting style.

Once you received your order, depending on the nature of work, we offer certain hours of revision work hours for free.
